TSUNAMI DISASTER RELIEF

Updates Available at Tsunami Relief Efforts

Numerous articles, photos and video footage on the recent tsunami disaster can be accessed through the Amritapuri website (address noted above). Learn about Amma's vast relief operations, including food, clothing, medical care and vocational training for those affected; building projects to create short-term emergency shelter and permanent housing; and an orphanage.

Donations can be made on-line through the Amritapuri website.

MILWAUKEE SEVA OPPORTUNITIES TO BE DISCUSSED AT COMING SATSANG ON FEB. 6TH

Laura Herzog has generously researched several possible service projects for our satsang. The Guest House of Milwaukee, a men's homeless shelter on North 13th Street, has several meal programs that we will discuss next Sunday. These include preparing and serving breakfast or lunch one Saturday per month and/or making bag lunches for the men.

IAM MEDITATION TRAINING COMING MARCH 12-13

The Madison and Milwaukee Amma Satsangs will co-host a training in Amma's IAM (Integrated Amrita Meditation) Technique, to be held in Madison on March 12-13. The training will include a refresher course on Sunday for those who have already had the training. Please share this information with others who may be interested. Note that all are asked to register by March 1 - and that accommodations are expected to fill quickly, as the IAM training will take place the same weekend as a major state athletic tournament.

PRASANNAN RETURNING TO MILWAUKEE IN APRIL

Prasannan, the Vedic astrologer who travels with Amma, will be touring the US again this spring and has scheduled a return visit to Milwaukee on Saturday and Sunday, April 9 and 10. FUND RAISER FOR TSUNAMI VICTIMS & FOR THE PROPOSED AMRITA ASHRAM IN CHICAGO

On April 8th, the Chicago Satsang will host a Santhoor concert by renowned artist Rahul Sharma(Santhoor is an Indian string instrument). Concert proceeds will help support Amma's tsunami relief efforts and raise funds for the proposed Amrita Aashram in Chicago. More information will follow soon.
