A Dream Coming True

Amma and her message of Universal Love continues to attract more and more devotees all over the world into her arms. The Chicago land area is no exception. Over the years, her following in greater Chicago has continued to grow in leaps and bounds. This is clearly evident in the logarithmic growth in the number of people gathering to have her darshan when she visits Chicago year after year.

Now we have a special reason to celebrate! Our most beloved Amma, Satguru Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, has kindly blessed the long-held dream of her children to start a Center for Spiritual studies and Community Services based on her teachings in Chicago. Amma emphasizes the importance of "satsang" (association of goodness) in the spiritual growth of her children as well as promotion of world peace. The Chicago center will be intended for satsang, prayer, meditation, devotional music, organizing volunteer services, and to spread Amma’s teachings for human value improvement. When finished, it is expected to be a building where 250 devotees can assemble. There will be ample space for parking and other activities around the building.
