Life & Spirituality
Do not look at the world. Look within yourself and remove the impurities from your mind. Practice seeing good in the others.
We should live in this world knowing that we are only an instrument in the hands of God and with the faith that He is guiding us.
Always maintain your self-control and be the master of external objects and circumstances. Do not let anything enslave or control you.
Life is momentary .You should live in this world with that realization.
Commitment in every circumstance, in all situations, is the trademark of a spiritual seeker.
To attain a higher goal, renunciation of the smaller things is a must.
Children, do not deluded by these dreams that you see externally. They are all things and people who have to go when the time comes. If you are attached, then what remains is sorrow.
Trails and tribulations, ups and downs, are the nature of life. They are unavoidable.
Contentment and happiness depends solely on the mind, not on the external objects. Both heaven and hell are created by the mind …
Even the highest heaven turns into hell if the mind is agitated, whereas even the lowest hell will become a blissful abode for a man endowed with a peaceful and relaxed mind.
The knowledge that teaches how to live on this Earth, how to lead contended lives in the face of obstacle, is spiritual knowledge . That is what we should acquire first. Spirituality is the real wealth. It is the wealth which helps one to become ‘wealthier than the wealthiest’ …..
Do not complain about people who get angry, criticize or scold you. All the things that they have said about you will revert back to them.
Faith and self-surrender belongs to the same category as love. They are all connected and independent. They are all expression of the heart….
No matter how many people sit in a chair, it has no complaint. In the same way, no matter how many people get angry with us, we should develop the strength to endure and forgive.
Life becomes full and complete only when the heart is filled with faith in a Supreme Power. Until then, the search to fill the gap will continue.
Love and faith are necessary in order to have strength and courage. Faith alone can cause the Satguru’s constant flow of grace o reach us.
Through faith, self-surrender happens, and through self-surrender one can definitely reach the state of Self-realization.
Surrender removes all fear and tension. Surrender leads one to peace and bliss. Where there is surrender, there is no fear. Surrender means welcoming and accepting everything without the least feeling of sorrow or disappointment. If we lead lives with this attitude of surrender, we will be free from sorrow. He will always guard and protect us.
In order to become oneself from identification with the body to the level of the Supreme Self, one should feel the desperation of one who is trapped in a burning house ore drowning in deep waters….
Never look back and grieve. Look forward and smile.
We came from God. Faint awareness of this is present in us. This awareness should become full and complete.
Mental purity will come through constant chanting of the Divine Name. This is the simplest way. When the Divine name is chanted constantly, spiritual hunger will come. Consequently, a taste for the name will arise followed by love for God. We are saved if love is obtained.
First of all, you must have love and respect for your mantra, the mantra that was given to you by your master. Always repeat the mantra wherever you are, whatever work you are doing, irrespective of time and place. Without talking unnecessarily, chat your mantra, have love for your mantra. These mantras will help to purify the mind and are vehicle to take you to Supreme. Children always chant the mantra. The mind should be trained to do japa( mantra repetition) incessantly. Then, whatever work we do, the mind will continue japa. The energy gained by doing japa and meditation must be given time to take effect by sitting silently for a while.
Your mantra should always be chanted within. We should always be centered within. Mere chanting of the mantra is not enough; it should be done with concentration. Otherwise, it is like pouring water on the surface of rock. Japa is beneficial only if there is concentration. You can control the mind quickly only through japa. There is no shortcut on the spiritual path. Whatever be the way, a good amount of effort is needed. There should be a daily routine of japa and meditation at the same time and for a set duration. The habit of meditation every day at a fixed time should be developed. This habit will guide us.
It is not easy to eliminate the flow of thoughts, this is an advanced state. By increasing pure thoughts, impure thoughts can be destroyed. If we have salt water in a container and add pure water to it again and again, the water will loose its saltiness. In a similar way, by good thoughts, bad habits can be gradually eliminated.
Through all paths are equally good, each one works differently on different people. The path of devotion is the best and easiest since most people are predominantly emotional in nature.
The universe is one, not many. Man has divided the world into fragments, not God. It is man who, through his thoughts and actions, creates turmoil and disintegration in the natural, harmonious unity of the world.
Action coupled with meditation, japa, chanting and other spiritual practices are the means to attain the state of selflessness. There should be a balance between meditation and action. Action alone cannot take you to the goal. Action performed with an attitude and self-surrenders and love is the right path.
One who simultaneously performs actions and remembers God is the noblest.
Children, you must find satisfaction and happiness in any work given in any circumstance. You should not have a special interest in doing a particular work and a dislike in performing other work. This is how you can go beyond likes and dislikes.
It is easy to realize God if you see God in every action you perform.
All pleasures of the world, whatever they are, end up in sorrow.
Alertness and discrimination should fill our every action, word and thought. That is spirituality.
We have been thinking that the body is eternal, and this has created sorrow. In order to convince ourselves that the body is non-eternal, we must train the mind using the weapon of discrimination and detachment. Things that he needs are the circumstances and objects which would help him to progress spirituality. Sharp discrimination will help him to overcome all kinds of obstacle.
Discrimination is meant for one who is the process of evolution. You need absolute discrimination to know what is good for your spiritual progress and what will create obstacle in your path.
True happiness is not to be gained from external things. Detachment is what brings peace and happiness.
When we are totally free from negative tendencies such as selfishness, ego or jealousy, the vision of God will be attained.
