Currently, as a part of Amma's kitchen activity, semi-annual canned and processed food drive is undertaken by satsang members for donation to the poor and needy through the local food pantries. In addition, packed lunch and snacks are donated to a local church as service to the homeless housed in the church.

In the past, Amma Center of Chicago satsang members collected educational toys for Amrita Vidyalaya students. They also collected toys for the residents of Amma's orphanage in India. A children's play ground and Krishna gardens were built by the Amrita Vidyalaya, Palghat, Kerala using donations from Amma Center of Chicago. Satsang members sponsored many Amrita Kuteerams [subsidized housing for the poor].
